AJ100 New Member of the Year 2024 contenders revealed

Three contenders are in the running to be AJ100 New Member of the Year 2024

Bennetts Associates returns to the AJ100 rankings after eight years away. Founded in 1987 by Rab and Denise Bennetts, the practice has 90 permanent employees across offices in London, Edinburgh and Manchester. Bennetts Associates is an employee-owned trust and became a certified B Corp in 2022.

Recent projects include the transformation of the Old Royal Infirmary in Edinburgh into the Edinburgh Futures Institute, and its first project in Greece – the Syggrou Office Complex in Athens.

Spratley & Partners joins AJ100 for the first time, and is based in Henley-on-Thames and Bristol. The 47-strong practice’s portfolio includes private homes, boutique hotels, business parks, research labs and universities. Projects in 2023 included a boathouse for Headington School in Oxford and the refurbishment of the Grade II*-listed Byfleet Manor on a floodplain location in Surrey.

GT3 has 49 staff across offices in Newcastle, Nottingham and London and has particular expertise in the sports and leisure, masterplanning and workplace sectors. Completions in 2023 included leisure centres in Morpeth, Kirkby and Knaresborough.

The newcomer award is judged taking into account both business success and quality of work, and is open to either new entrants, or practices returning after five years or more.

The winners of all the AJ100 awards will be announced in June.
