The AJ 40 under 40, in association with VitrA Bathrooms, celebrates the UK’s most exciting emerging architectural talent. It is the first time since 2005 that the AJ has brought together this unique showcase of the nation’s next generation of boundary-pushing designers and innovators.
Join us on Friday 5 March at 12.30pm for the first in a series of virtual discussions with AJ 40 under 40 practices:
- Edmund Fowles, director, Feilden Fowles
- Jonathan Hagos, director, Freehaus (with co-director Tom Bell)
- Catrina Stewart and Hugh McEwen, co-founders, Office S&M
- Nimi Attanayake and Tim O’Callaghan, co-founders, nimtim architects
The four practices will be joining us for a panel discussion on the Dos and Don’ts of setting up your own studio, followed by a Q&A session chaired by AJ editor Emily Booth. They will be touching on:
• How they got to where they are now
• Lessons from their successes – and failures
• Is setting up your own practice always the right thing to do?
