Hi, Rafi,
I’ve actually referred to the JetFormBuilder website because its search widget uses our experimental AI-powered search functionality I talked about (https://prnt.sc/rm2G-zmoi46e), so you can test how efficient it is before installing it on your own website. We have a plugin called JetSearch https://crocoblock.com/plugins/jetsearch/, and our developers were thinking about how to improve it, so they released this experimental AI-powered plugin that improves its functionality (and works with native WordPress search widget as well).
However, if you want to process users’ requests in a very specific way before performing a search, JetFormBuilder can be an asset, and I’ve described the very basic use cases in this article – https://crocoblock.com/blog/using-jetformbuilder-wordpress-plugin-with-openai/, but you can take it to another level and create something complex.
And yes, JetFormBuilder doesn’t require Elementor, like most of the Crocoblock plugins. It even uses Gutenberg UI, so you can add extra blocks to the form (not only form fields). JetFormBuilder is open source; you can find it on the WordPress plugin repository and have full access to the code. And, of course, you can modify the experimental AI-search plugin available at https://github.com/Crocoblock/jet-ai-search/.

Hi Helena,

Thanks for your answer! To be a little more specific, with Kampadre I would like to manipulate the search before it actually fetches the data. What I mean by that is that I would like to make a request to OpenAI, then get that request back and only then make a search in the database. Is that possible with jetformbuilder? To state it in a different way, can I access the code that jetformbuilder uses directly (or at least part of it)?

The second question pertains to Elementor. I don’t want to use that. Can I still use jetformbuilder?

Hello, Rafi, thanks for your comment!
It would be great to have more details about your search/filters functionality and how they work to answer your question.
Talking about the functionality we are currently testing, actually this article covers most of it, and you can test how it works on jetformbuilder.com (documentation section).

Currently, my AI is converting the search request (it can even be a question or anything) to a specific set of filters (imagine that the AI chooses from a set of filters for you depending on what it thinks that you might be looking for.

Now my question was, if this is also possible with your plugin or if you have any idea on how to adapt it to that functionality?

Best and thanks, Rafi
